i only see drive letter in one partition, i.e at the boot partiton C. The partition i am only able to see via disk management in the computer management console. Although I am able to see the partition there but cannot get at the data, as there is no drive letter assigned. I have even tried to assign a drive letter via the dsik mgt ui but no luck...the error I get here is that it ask me to restart the system, but still no luck. I beleive the data is still intact in this part of the partiton. By the way this partiton is NTFS. Hope this helps.
Thanks
Buck

Is it assigned a drive letter? When you do access it what are actual
symptoms (verbatim)? Are there (error)messages, or does d: just appear in
the explorer but seems empty. Be more exact in describing what you see.

have some data on D that I need to recover. The system crashed and I had to
do a fresh install of the OS on the C, however I am not able to see the
data on D. I beleive the data on D is still intact ( I did not kill the
partition when I did the fresh OS install), and I see the partition from
disk management. How do I retrive the data form D. Any help is
     appreciated.
