Re: Error 8218 in Eventlog when using ms faxservice on win2000 server



You have one external fax modem which works on Windows 2000 Professional
machine but on Windows Server machine. Is that correct?

On the Server machine does the 'send' work? Compare the driver details on
your Professional machine vs. Server machine. By the way is the source end
of the call same in both cases?

As a last resort we'll have to enable verbose logging which requires
changing system registry.
