Hi Ken,
Thank you for posting!
Let us try to enable Guest account on the Windows 2003 Server, and then
grant the Guest account the permission to print to the Fax printer.
1. Click "Start", right click "My Computer" and choose "Manage" from the
context menu
2. Expand "System Tools" branch, "Local Users and Groups" branch
3. Highlight "Users" item
4. On the right pane, double click "Guest". Guest account is disabled by
default
5. Uncheck "Account is disabled" option
6. Click "Start", point to "Printers and Faxes", it will lauch Printers and
Faxes folder
7. You will see a Fax icon in the folder. If you cannot see this icon,
right blank area in the folder, and choose "Install a Local Fax Printer"
from the context menu.
8. Right click the Fax icon, choose "Properties" menu from the context menu
9. Choose "Security" tab, click "Add..." button, type "Guests" (without
quotation marks) in the text box, and click "OK" button.
10. Grant proper right to Guest account and click "OK" button to apply the
settings.
The above steps will enable everyone even the user without authentication
to use Fax printer on the Windows 2003 Server. However, I am not familar
with the configruation in the Novell environment, please find someone to
help you to check the settings if the users in Novell environment can
access the Windows 2003 Server.
Have a nice day!
Thanks & Regards,
