So you would setup one forwarder to your router and you should be good? Or
should you setup multiple forwarders? Is this a standard process. I have

trying to learn all about DNS because of the issues it can cause.

I would setup every internal DNS server to forward to the router unless
there is somewhere better for them to forward.

Think about it this way (DNS has to make SENSE): How would the
client resolve Internet names if it used a DNS server which didn't forward
to retrieve those names?

All servers and clients should point to the internal DNS only, if the
internal DNS is unable to resolve internet names, check for the existence
of
a "." (Root) forward lookup zone, if you have one, delete it, then close
and
re-open the DNS console. Check that the Root Hints are loaded and
resolved,
then you can enable a forwarder to the router or ISP.
