The question I am trying to make is what aspect of the Active
directory do I enter in the new IPs. We already have the current
information entered for DNS.
Can I add another DNS information to DNS?
Is there such a things as 2 DNS?
All Active Directory domain members must use only DNS servers that support
the AD domain. If the DHCP on the T1's router are not assigning DNS servers
that support the AD domain, they cannot be used on Domain Members. The
recommended configuration is to run DNS on your DCs and use the DCs'
addresses ONLY for DNS. Don't use any DNS server that does not support the
AD domain on any domain member, in any position.
If you're having drive mapping problems it is because you don't have proper
NetBIOS resolution, and the DNS servers cannot resolve the file server's IP.
