Hi Kevin,

Thanks but how can I run netdiag /fix and netdiag /test:dns /v ?
Where should I download the utility as I received error

Hi all,

I have one Win2k DC (DC1) installed with single domain and
AD-integrated DNS. I am not sure what are the components need to be
included in forward lookup zone. I have also added reverse lookup
zone for the same domain but not sure whether I have configure
correctly.

I have previously installed DC2 for replication purposes but it failed
to replicate successfully. From the log files it seems many errors are
assiciated with DNS lookup failure. Since then I had uninstall DC2 as
Domain Controller and DNS service.

I planned to do it again but was not sure what actually went wrong on
the AD-DNS.

Can anyone advise me what should I do in order for successful
replication of AD data, esp. AD User and Computers.

Make sure DC1 uses its own address for DNS only, run netdiag /fix and run netdiag /test:dns /v and look for errors.
Make sure DC2 uses DC1 for DNS and run the same tests on it.

Post back any errors with ipconfig /all (unedited) from both DCs and the AD domain name from ADU&C.
