There's a couple things required for regsitration to occur:

1. The Primary DNS Suffix has to match the AD DNS domain name.
2. ONLY use the internal DNS servers in IP properties.
3. The checkbox under DNS tab in Ip properties, advanced, must be set to
'register this connection.

If you can possibly post an ipconfig of a working machine and one of the
laptops, maybe that will help us determine this.

As far as not being able to login the local machine,. I assume you are
selecting the local machine's name in the dropdown box?

After you reinstalled the laptop, Where or what is telling you "destination
is not accessible"?
