Hi All,

Just thought I would add my 2 cents after resolving an issue with one
of our clients.

I was investigating a host of problems and discovered that the
_msdcs.SERVER.local forward lookup zone had been deleted, as was
evident in the Event Log by a host of DNS failure messages.

I tried all the suggestions I could find in Deja to no avail.

Finally, I simply used the Configure a DNS Server wizard in the DNS
manager to recreate this zone .... worked like a charm!

HTH.
