Hi,

Does anyone have access to any of the following operating systems?

Windows NT Server 4.0 Enterprise Edition
Windows NT Server 4.0, Terminal Server Edition
Windows XP Home
Windows 2000 Server Enterprise Edition
Windows 2000 Server Datacenter Edition
Windows Server 2003 Web Edition
Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition
Windows Server 2003 Datacenter Edition

If so, would you be willing to test a new OS version utility? It's
supposed to detect all the different OS flavors and return an ERRORLEVEL
value:

1 Windows NT Workstation 4.0 9 Windows 2000 Server (Small Bus.)
2 Windows NT Server 4.0 (Standard) 10 Windows XP Home Edition
3 Windows NT Server 4.0 (Enterprise) 11 Windows XP Professional
4 Windows NT Server 4.0 (Small Bus.) 12 Windows Server 2003 (Web Ed.)
5 Windows 2000 Professional 13 Windows Server 2003 (Standard)
6 Windows 2000 Server (Standard) 14 Windows Server 2003 (Enterprise)
7 Windows 2000 Server (Enterprise) 15 Windows Server 2003 (Datacenter)
8 Windows 2000 Server (Datacenter) 16 Windows Server 2003 (Small Bus.)

This version requires NT 4.0 SP6 or later. It can also detect service
pack, role (workstation, server, DC), and on servers, whether you're
using Terminal Server in Remote Desktop or Application Server mode.

I think I've got the version checking stuff correct. So far I have
tested it on:

Windows XP Pro
Windows 2000 Pro
Windows 2000 Server Standard (both Remote Desktop and Application Server
TS modes)
Windows 2000 Server Small Business
Windows Server 2003 Standard (Remote Desktop mode)

So far, so good. Would anyone else like to try it out?

Thanks,

Bill
