That's interesting considering e.g.

That's a good solution, Mike. For a better measure, I will no more
be posting the pointer to the microsoft newsgroups after Kelly
finally and then Torgeir Bakken (thank you) took the time and
rationally and politely gave their arguments why Microsoft command
line interface CMD.EXE FAQ availability regular information from the
outside is not welcome in the microsoft newsgroups.

That it took so long and that I originally paid little attention was
caused by to factors. First, by David Candy's totally obnoxious
demeanor, second by Kelly own usage of signature practices (no
offence meant here Kelly) that appear equally "spammish" to the
outside.

All in all, the lesson for the microsoft groupies (pardon the pun)
to learn is this. Before you go and fiercely jump on someone yelling
spam (let alone swearing and worse), take a moment to distinguish
between true spam and information postings that you find not
belonging (and also call spam [sic]). When explained rationally, as
finally happend after much unnecessary aggravation, as I have said,
I am uite prepared to listen. And, if grounded, to adjust the
practices, as I have now done.

As a sideline from the episode some of you also might benefit for
your own information to better find out and understand how
newsgroups physically propagate on the net. A few of you just might
be confused by your inferface into believing that you are more
isolated from the Usenet community than you actually are.

   All the best, Timo
