Pasting into wordpad.exe and problems with spacing.

Hi!

When I open a wordpad.exe document and I start typing I use single
space.
Each time I cut and paste something from the internet that is also
single spaced, it frequently uses double space or 1.5 space!

How do I keep it from doing that, or how do I fix it once it's done
(w/o losing my formatting?)
