outlook xp cannot open links from vendors

I have a Windows 2000 Pro PC with Office XP. Nothing happens when I
click on vendor links in my Outlook E-mails. I tested a Yahoo mail
sent to my Outlook and the links work fine. When I "view source" of my
vendor E-mails and copy and paste the source into a new HTML file and
open it as a web page, the links work. Why doesn't Outlook allow me to
open the links from within Outlook?
