Here's exactly what's driving my question...They hired me to replace the
previous SysAdm a few months ago. The Pres of the Co. complained endlessly
about how, when the previous SysAdm moved files from an old server to a new
server, the "Date Modified" on all of the files was changed to what was then
the current date & time. She didn't know how to stop that. So, everytime
he browses the shares he's constantly reminded of her "incompetence". Also,
the staff here actually counts on the Date Modified being correct in order
    to find files.

Anyway, so now the shoes on the other foot. Basically it's a political
    thing. But politics is important.

So, what's the best way to move files and folders from one server to another
while retaining the same "Date Modified"?

    Thanks!
