Don't get hung up with the so-called "rule" about the size of a page file being 1.5 times the size of memory.

Your swap/page file should be big enough that you will (almost) never see it increase in size during normal operations. With 8GB (wow!) you could almost set the size to zero (please don't do it!).

Good Day All,

Quick question,

I've just addded some RAM to have a total of 8GB. What should I set my pagefile too 12gb ?. I do have a dedicated hard disk just to store my pagefile.

Will windows accept such large pagefile ?
