We just brought a Dual Opteron server with 4GB RAM in to production.
As the day goes on the Server get slower in some parts of our MAS500
SQL program. When I reboot the system it takes so long for the reboot
process that I just 'reset' the machine (30+ minutes). After the
screen 'Saving your settings' it goes to the blue screen and sits there
with the hard drives showing activity (the 4 hard drives are set at
RAID 10). If I start the server in safe mode it reboots and shutsdown
fine. Other than loading Windows the only things I changed is in
Performance Options: Set for Background services. Virtual memory is
set to 2 GB. Startup and recovery options are '/fastdetect /PAE'.
Debugging info is Small memory dump. Our support from Sage software
and Systemax PC says it's Windows........

Help!!!

I'm no expert, but sounds to me like a memory leak. Have you tried using
Task Manager to identify any problem processes?

After you reboot, run task manager and either minimise it or leave it
running in the background.

Cameron:-)
