What's the primary difference between the Windows Backup utility and some 3rd party utility like Paragon or Acronis?
I don't want to pay $400 to $1000 because I run this 2k server as a
workstation
I need a complete backup and restore solution - what they call "down to bare
metal". I need to restore the registry, all files system, hidden, etc. and
be able to restore them just by installing a fresh copy of Win2k svr and
selecting "restore" from the Backup Utility. Does it allow you to do that?
I can stop services like IIS, etc. if file locking is an issue. In general,
would the Windows Backup Utility work for my situation?
