I'm trying to install Office 2000 from a Select CD (no CD key required) onto a 2000 server with Terminal Services installed.
I receive a message that "Some default settings in Microsoft Access do not work properly on a Windows Terminal Server" , and the install terminates.
Surfing the support sites reveals that I need to use the custom tools from the Resource kit to do this. Specifically, I need a special transform named TermSvr.mst (which I have downloaded) and then I need to use the instructions from Knowledge Base Article 828955 to complete the install.
The trouble is, those instructions require me to use the Office Custom Install program invoked when you run Setup.exe from the Office disk. The Select CD does not have Setup.exe, instead it has individual setups for each Office program, and a global install program called setuppro.exe. These programs do not seem to allow the use of the custom .mst file.
Has anyone out there successfully installed the Select CD version of Office on a 2000 Terminal Server?
