Here are the changes and the error we've been getting
prior to and after the "reset".
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\lanman
server\Parameters
Set enablesecuritysignature to 0
Set requiresecuritysignature to 0
The problem we were having is that NT4 workstations could
not access the Win2000 DC. We could map the drives but
when we tried to access them we'd get an 'Access Denied'
error. We could access the the shared drives on the
Win2003DC.
We made the changes posted above and no more errors
occured. The problem now is that at random times these
settings revert back to 1 and the errors resume. Is there
a setting in a policy
that needs to be set or changed so that these keys
won't "reset" themselves?
We re-posted on the previous post but need an answer soon
as we will be migrating a UNIX server next week and need
all the Windows changes to be set prior to the new UNIX
migration. Thank you for any help
