Re: Exchange 2003 installation

Dear Meinolf Weber,

Configured on the NIC of the server.

Hello Sathya,

Ok, so lets first get out all errors from the diagnostics. Is the ISP's DNS
set as a forwarder under the DNS management console or configured on a NIC
of a server? Seems for me the last option.

Best regards

Meinolf Weber

Dear Meinolf Weber,

202.56.230.5 is my ISP DNS. Old exchange removed - I don't know the
whereabouts of it.

Hello Sathya,

What is this ip used for 202.56.230.5 in the netdiag. Also again what
is about the old exchange installation. Still there, removed or will
you upgrade it?

When I ran the setup of Exchange 2003 :-

When I try to prepare forest prep in the Action menu of exchange
installation:-

The component "Microsoft Exchange Forest Preparation" cannot be
assigned the action "ForestPrep" because: - To install the first
Exchange server in a domain, or to run setup in "/ForestPrep" mode,
you must be an Exchange Full administrator a the organisation level.
You must use an account that has been granted the Full Exchange
Administrator role on the Exchange organization using the Exchange
Administrative Delegation Wizard.

This is the error; how to go about now.

In Windows 2000 active directory Exchange 5.5 was running fine.
Now Exchange5.5 made offline and not available now. When I try to
install Exchange 2003 in this Active directory it is now allowing
me to install. Can anybody throw light on this issue?

Best Regards,
Sathya
