Re: AD Replication issue

Run diagnostics against your Active Directory domain.

If you don't have the support tools installed, install them from your server
install disk.
d:\support\tools\setup.exe

Run dcdiag, netdiag and repadmin in verbose mode.
-> DCDIAG /V /C /D /E /s:yourdcname > c:\dcdiag.log
-> netdiag.exe /v > c:\netdiag.log (On each dc)
-> repadmin.exe /showrepl dc* /verbose /all /intersite > c:\repl.txt

**Note: Using the /E switch in dcdiag will run diagnostics against ALL dc's
in the forest. If you have significant numbers of DC's this test could
generate significant detail and take a long time. You also want to take
into account slow links to dc's will also add to the testing time.

When complete search for fail, error and warning messages.

We have a rootdc and an ADC. The DLs are on the RootDC and I have noticed
that when I add the users in the DLs after connecting to the ROOT DC, they
are not replicating to the ADC, ROOTDC is the GC where as ADC is not and
ADC
is the infrastructure master. Domain functional mode is Windows 2000
Mixed,
but there are no NT servers.
I have used replmon and found that replcation si happening fine, usn
appeared the same according to replmon.
But when I used adsiedit and connected to ROOTDC and compared the
usnchanged
value with that of ADC I see a huge difference. Also after adding the
users
to the DLs when I am connected to Root DC and if I connect to the ADC and
try
open up the properties of the users from the DL it says
"The following active directory error occured: Directory object not found.
There is no such object on the server"
The user accounts are located in the Child Domain which is also in Windows
2000 mixed mode and exchange server is also in Child Domain.
Can anyone tell me how to troubleshoot this issue further?
