Hi,

What I want to do is replicate all the files and shares across to the
new DC. I could just copy all the files and recreate the shares but I
would loose all the permissions.

how about, copy with XCOPY /O

Export the Shares from the Registry:
HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanServer\Shares
