Replicating files from old to new AD domain controller

Folks,

We are running AD in our network and I have just installed a second
domain controller as the original on is pretty sick.

What I want to do is replicate all the files and shares across to the
new DC. I could just copy all the files and recreate the shares but I
would loose all the permissions.

I looked into file replication but I could not work out how to make it
replicate files and shares (only SYSVOL etc). I also looked at DFS
but this seems to be overkill.

Can someone offer advice ?
