Re: Workstation in AD

In news:%23hTnxJmbGHA.2188@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx,
New User <user@xxxxxxx> stated, which I commented on below:
Hello:

After the AD in-place upgrade, does the workstation (NT, Win2K &
XP) need to rejoin the AD again? It was because the domain name still
show the old NT4 Domain name but the new joiner has change the AD
name.
Thanks!

If it was an upgrade, there's no need to change the workstations. They are
already joined. An upgraded domain's SIDs and other data remains the same.

What do you mean by:
" [...] but the new joiner has change the AD name."??

You said it still shows the same name, so what does the above mean? Are you
referring to the new AD DNS domain name?
