Disable round-robin and enable subnet ordering. Both records will stay, but the server will return the address on the same subnet as the query came from.

I have a server (Windows 2003 SP1 + AD +DNS) with 2 interfaces : one is connected to the company network and the second to a dedicated backup network unreachable from the company network.

My problem is that Windows register both interfaces in DNS even if the box "Register this interface" is cleared.

I read some articles that talk about a hotfix.

What is the solution ?

I desactived DNS server listening on this interface and the problem has been solved.

Thanks
