Hello
Does any one know:
Replication time on domain controllers in same site/same subnet (I was
told 15sec by default in Win2003 and 5 sec on W2k)
What about in the same site but in different subnets?
Subnets don't count as long as they are the same site.
And Site to Site?
Based on your Site Link, the Schedule (times of day)
and Frequency of the Site Link,.
Site to Site replication is:
During scheduled hours at frequency intervals.
I'm asking this because on the connections properties automatically
generated by the KCC I see once per hour... on connections in the same
site, and 1 every 3 hours in different sites...
3 hours is the DEFAULT Site Link frequency (if you didn't
change that when you created the site link.)
If the replication in same site occurs every 15sec what does it mean the
schedule on the connection???
If you create a MANUAL Connection you can override
the Schedule (like to replicate days when SiteLink only
supports Nights) but an automatic Connection SHOULD
have the same schedule as the SiteLink(s) that caused it to
be created.
Frequency cannot be set on Connection objects directly
(they always come from SiteLink setting.)
