Re: How to change a security group to a mail group?

I believe this is all possible, as long as it is Exchange 2003. Right click
on the group and select Exchange tasks and remove the Exchange attributes on
both and then add them back on the distribution group.

Can I remove the mail address from the security group and apply the same
address to the distribution group? is there a "special" process for this?
Do
I have to wait for replication after I remove the address from the
security
group, before I can apply it to the distributuion group?

No they can't, but use the security group for security and use the
distribution group for e-mail.

Yes they are two separate groups, but as far as I am aware two groups
cannot
have the same email address- or can they? So the moved members will no
longer
recieve email from the security mail enabled group, is there a way
around
this?

If you have two seperate groups then it should be as simple as
removing
members from the group that you don't want to belong. The
distribution
group is a totally seperate group with its own membership set.

How can I remove certain members of a mail enabled security group -
(whilist
leaving other members, and the group intact) but allow these members
to
recieve mail from the same email address in a distribution group?
