Sounds like her profile is corrupt.
Try re creating her profile.

I have a user with an XP Pro laptop who is having problems logging onto the
network and to the machine locally.
The domain is Windows 2000 using Active Directory. The user is complained
that she could not log on to the network using her username and password.
this has happened several times.
Last Wednesday I reset her password in AD and she was able to log on.
When
she tried to log on Friday she was denied access and got the typical
message of "...could not logon. Check username and password...caps
lock...yadayada." I reset her password in AD and successfully logged on
as
her numerous times including laptop restarts. In AD the setting password
does not expire was selected.
the next time she attempted to log on, on Sunday, she was again denied. I
checked the account in AD. It was not locked out.
Is this a problem in the config on the laptop? An Active Directory issue?
It seems that each time I reset the passwork in AD she can access the
network that day but not after.
My users use their laptops while connected to the network and while
disconnected. What is the proper way to set the users up. Do I have to
add them a s user locally? Or merely have then logon while connected to
the network?
John
