XP workstations not always showing mapped drives

Here's an odd problem that I was just made aware of. We have a small
Windows 2000 50 user domain that is used for instructional purposes.

The layout is as follows: 3 2000 SP4 DC's & 50 XP Pro workstations all
connected on the same LAN.

DC1: JFK2K
DC2: JFK2K2
DC3: JFK2K3

Each user account has three settings:

Profile Path: \\jfk2k3\Man_Profiles\man_prof

Login Script: newlogon.bat

Home Folder: N: \\jfk2k2\users\%username%

What I have noticed is that are random times a user or multiple users
will not receive all the mapped drives from the newlogon.bat file.
However, the batch file does run since I can see it execute via the
command Line. The user or users will log off and log back on, the
script will run and the drives appear or if not the user or users will
move to another workstation and the mapped drives will appear.
Everything was working fine up until a few days ago.

I have checked and for any odd or increased network traffic and found
nothing. Patch levels are all current and there are no virus issues.
Could this be due to XP's local GPO of not waiting for the network?

Here is a copy of the actual batch file.

net use p: \\jfk2k3\cashman
net use m: \\jfk2k3\powerpoint
net use o: \\jfk2k3\word2002

Thank you,

Javier
