I've come to this problem myself once. Rather than giving
the users simply "user rights" give them the "power user"
rights, and this will correct the problem. I also found
that if you try to install the printer under a user who
has seperate permissions, it still wont allow the users
with basic rights use this printer.

from the local "administrators" group and putting them
into the local "users" group. I have also enabled some
Group Policies to further restrict and customize the user
environment on Win2k Pro workstations. The problem I have
is users cannot add printers to their workstations. They
get an error stating that they do not have sufficient
rights on the machine. I have looked all through the
Group Policies and everything for printers is pointing to
allowing them to add printers and I have also enabled the
ability to delete them as well. Any ideas on what I am
missing?
