Robert,
Quick question: did you install QuickBooks via GPO? Meaning, did you
create a shared distribution point and then go into the ADUC MMC and create
a software package for deployment of QuickBooks in this manner -OR- did you
simply install the application via the CD to each computer individually?
If you used the GPO method did you set it up on the user-configuration side
or on the computer-configuration side? What happens if you change that to
the 'other' one?
Are you having a problem installing it or actually using it after you have
installed it? If you used GPO to install this software there *should* not
be an problems. Clearly this is not the case, though. That would not
really surprise me as QuickBooks is not the most 'admin-friendly' software
out there.....Try installing QuickBooks on a Terminal Server! It can be
done, but you have to know a few tricks.
Are the client computers WIN2000 or WIN XP?
I am assuming that Laura and Herb have already answered you in your second
post?
HTH,
Cary
