Can someone pls. help.

I had setup a Win 2k Server to test out SMS 2003 but I had
ran 'dcpromo' and added to the domain as backup domain
controller number 3 successfully. I had also install WINS
and added a new zone for the DNS. After i was done, i
delete the newzone i had created, and thats when all the
problem seems to occur.
The zone i created was mis.nems.org; unless the same zone
was created before i got here, than I dont remember doing
anything else wrong, but if the name was of the new zone i
create was identical to the one already created than i
would not be allow to do that right?
But in any case, we had to install a new fan for the
Primary domain controller and we boot that backup, one of
the hard drive was missing, eventually we did get that fix.
Once i log in, i was going to check the Active Directory
Users and Computers and the Default Group Policy.
Both of this does not work on the Primary Domain
Controller, and I did a system state restore, and on
opening the AD Users and Computers, it is able to but I
notice that it is using the one from Backup Domain
Controller 2 and the Group Policy still does not work.
I use a test system to install another Win 2K server and
try DC Promo and i got the following Error Message:

"The domain "nems.org'' cannot be contacted. Ensure that
the DNS domain name is typed correctly. This condition
may be caused by a DNS lookup problem. If this domain was
recently created, its name may not yet registed with the
Domain Naming Service. .............."
I hope I've given enough information.
Could someone help?
thank you.
