Problem with XP Pro and ADS

We are in the process of migrating our current enterprise to Windows Server
2003 and for the most part things have been progressing (slowly). However I
ran into a problem today in adding a Windows XP workstation. This is not the
first workstation to be added to the domain, and the previous one added
without problem or incident. This one however did not register in DNS even
though it was added into ADS. I noticed it because I tried to remote manage
the station and it came back with the error that it could not find the
network path to the machine. I manually added the Host record for the
workstation to the DNS but that solved nothing. When I ran netdiag on the
workstation everything passed except the following:

Kerberos test. . . . . . . . . . . : Failed
[FATAL] Kerberos does not have a ticket for host/STATION01.

LDAP test. . . . . . . . . . . . . : Failed
[WARNING] The default SPN registration for 'HOST/STATION01' is missing
on DC '
root1.ourdomain.local'.
[WARNING] The default SPN registration for 'HOST/STATION01' is missing
on DC '
root2.ourdomain.local'.
[WARNING] The default SPN registration for 'HOST/STATION01' is missing
on DC '
sitedc1.ourdomain.local'.
[FATAL] The default SPNs are not properly registered on any DCs.

In checking previous post in regards to this error message, it all seems to
go back to how the DNS entry for the host. Yet I can ping both host and
domain from the DC to the STATION.

Any ideas?
