I have a Windows 2000 Advanced Server environment; I am running AD and have group policies implemented for our clients. I have 6 terminal servers that are running nlbs and these clients access the servers via a virtual URL.
All users have roaming profiles and because of Group Policies, have a limited desktop where they only see 3 icons.
One user, was receiving an error message, and only this user, that stated:
Windows cannot log you on because the profile cannot be loaded. Contact your network administrator. DETAIL - The system has attempted to load or restore a file into the registry, but the specified file is not in a registry file.
This was about a week ago. In the past, if users' profiles were too large, they would not load to the server upon log on. This is not the case as her profile is like 600KB.
I logged on as the user on 5 of the 6 servers with no problem whatsoever. However, when I log on to one particular server, her profile loads a regular desktop and not the limited one I assigned via group policy. I tested using a test account with the same GPO applied and had no problem. No other users are reporting this issue. The last resort of mine is to blow away her profile and recreate it....
Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance
