from the command prompe: "net stop netlogon & net start netlogon" should
re-register all DNS records which are required by the Domain Controller.

Is the DNS server that your server is pointing to its self? also if you have
more then one domain controller (which you might) you need to ensure that
all the records for the other Domain Controllers are also registered, as the
DC will have to replicate off any changes it thinks it might have along with
transfering any FSMO role holders to this other DC.
