Make sure the currently-selected item is a project, in the left pane of the
SourceSafe window. Sometimes SourceSafe highlights a project even when the
selected item is one of the files in that project. If a file is selected the
search only looks in that one file.

Hello,

I'm trying to search for a simple string across projects, but even
though I can view the text file that contains the search string from
within VSS 2005, "Find in Files" says it doesn't exist.

??

I have "Recursive" checked, everything else on the dialog is not.
