HTTP access to VSS 2005 through ISA Server

Hi all,

in our company we successfully created and configured VSS 2005 access
over HTTP (not HTTPS, only HTTP on standard port 80) and configured a
source repository share on a different machine as documented in
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms230206.aspx.

All works well and we are able to connect to the Web Server and connect
to the VSS repository. This applies when in the company building or in
VPN to the internal network.

To allow remote access to the repository without the need of a VPN, we
tried to expose the Web Server over our public ISA Server machine,
through a routing rule that manage to route incoming connection on a
specified port to the Web Server machine.

My question is: is this configuration supported by VSS?

Actually we got no issue accessing the Web Server and connecting to
repository on the same machine as the Web Server, but we cannot access
our files when located on a different machine. (Error is: "The
specified share path cannot be accessed by the SourceSafe Web
Service").

In our current status, connecting from within the VPN to files on a
remore server works, while it doesn't in we access the same Web Server
through the ISA Server. Do we need some special configuration (like
another thrust between ISA Server machine and the Web Server machine=)
or it's simply unsupported? I cannot find any article about this
configuration...

Thanks,
