Hi,
we've encountered a similar problem, and are now restoring from our daily
backup of VSS. But in your case as you say the error may have been there for
weeks. So unless you also have archived physical backups I am not sure what
the solution to your problem is.
But I'd certainly be interested in hearing if / how you resolve it.
