VS2008 XML Formatting

Hello,
I am writing comments in an XML file, but when I press format to tidy up the code, it places comments in a new line. I don't want VS to reposition the comment below the tag or above it. I want the comment beside the tag.

Is there a way to stop VS from formatting comments. Please don't say don't use formatting I already know that option. :-)

Thanks for taking the time to read this.
