I was using this just yesterday, and it worked fine. But then I ran Windows Defrag last night, and now I can open Studio, but when I try to open an existing project, it doesn't do anything. No error messages, anything. Yes, I rebooted.

If I double-click a .asp file (I happen to be working on more than one project now, and one is an ASP Classic site) in Windows Explorer, it will open that file in Studio just fine. But when I open Studio, then click on a project file (which happens to be Reporting Services), nothing happens. This occurs when using either the upper-left corner thing on the Start screen, or when I do File>>Open Project.

For the record, I am working on Windows XP Sp2, and other than the defrag, there have been no changes to my machine since it was working yesterday.


Consider doing a repair install of VS 2005.
