As always - this subject is sensetive...
This is something that is determined mostly by personal preference.

I prefer C# over VB - probably mostly because I used VB back in the days
before VB.NET and found it to lack alot. Other than that I just don't
like the VB syntax...
How VB.NET is I cannot tell you - only that I really like C#.

If you're used to Java or C++ the syntax for C# is easier for you to
adopt. I switched from Delphi to C# a couple of years ago (when
Borland/Inprise released the first .NET version of Delphi) and was
delighted.
