Can not add a reference to my old VB6 dll file on my development computer

Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

Hi,

I have a question that i really need som help with.

I have a Visual Studio 2005 project that I want to add a reference to one of
my old VB6-dlls. It fails with the errormessage:

A reference to 'C:.....\MyDll.dll' could not be added. Please make sure that
the file is accessible, and that it is a valid assembly or COM component.

I asked one of my friend to try the same thing on his computer. So I send
the dll-file to him and he tried in both VS.Net 2005 & 2003, and it worked.

What could be wrong? I am local admin on my computer.

I would be very greatful for any help or tips on hpw to solve this!

Thanks,

Robert
