VS2005 Annoyance: Changes are not allowed while code is running...

I'm running a project and go to make a small change in the editor while
it's running and ...
"Changes are not allowed while code is running... " dialog box appears .
There's not even a button asking me whether I want to "Stop Debuging" in the
dialog, just an "OK" button that goes ""Ding" after I press it.
I have to click "OK" and then press "Shift-F5" to stop the app and continue
editing.
I find it difficult to remember to always kill the app or "Stop Debugging"
before making a change. So, I get this annoyance about 25 times a day.
Is there a setting to just let you edit and let you know later that you need
to re-compile?
Or maybe a setting to have it automatically "Stop Debugging" when you start
editing?
There must be a better way! I'm sure it's my oversight.
Thanks,
.
