XSLT newsgroup. (BTW, what threw me was the reference to
"Cartesian" - if I'm following what's happening correctly,
it's not "Cartesian".)
You should be able to do something with an XSLT, but I'm not
conversant enough to be able to tell you how to do it in a
few words :-) Roughly, though, you'd have to restructure the
in-coming XML to a "flat table", as you describe. And then
you'd need another XSLT to change the structure back into
the nested XML schema the other end requires.
