Unattended installation of VS2003SP1?

We need to mass-deploy VS2003SP1 over our entire network.

I'm thinking of "just" invoking

VS7.1sp1-KB918007-X86.exe /I /Q /L:c:\tmp\VS2003SP1.log

BUT given what the release notes (and my colleagues) say about the
possibility that the patch requires the installation media, I want to ensure
the upgrade will work in all cases / on all machines. I do have a network
share with a copy of the 3 install CDs:

//nas/devtools/Microsoft/Visual C++/NET 2003 aka 7.1/Disc1
//nas/devtools/Microsoft/Visual C++/NET 2003 aka 7.1/Disc2
//nas/devtools/Microsoft/Visual C++/NET 2003 aka 7.1/Prerequisites

How can I make sure the upgrade will work silently, using the above paths if
it needs the original files -- even if the application was not installed
off these paths?

As a alternative, is there a means to "slipstream" the SP1 into the original
installation (like one does for combining XP RTM with SP2)?
