connect to server in vs.net

Hi all,
In tools menu, there is connect to server sub menu.
After I connected to the server, I can only see "performance counter",
"services" etc.
Is there any way I can download some source code from the server directly
through vs I just want to get some source code, and build it locally, debug
it etc. I don't know much about vs studio.
