Hello Jason,

According to the description, the problem happens after the VS2005->VS2008
migration of a VSTO Outlook Addin solution. The error message
"ProjectItemsEvents" means the events of referenced items/assemblies, e.g.
add, remove, etc. Jason, from my point of view, it looks like a VS
installation issue or a VSTO migration problem.

1. To verify the VSTO migration problem
Is there any error report in the solution's upgrade log? The upgrade log
can be accessed in the solution's root folder, UpgradeLog.XML + the
_UpgradeReport_Files folder. In the meantime, we may open the project
files, e.g. csproj, with notepad, find the <ItemGroup> node which contains
all the references of the project. Verify the references one by one to see
whether they exist in the directory or appear in the GAC.

2. To verify the VS installation issue
Jason, would you try to repair the installation of Visual Studio by
following the steps in:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa983433.aspx
In the meantime, if you are able to send a reproducible solution to my
mailbox, I will test it in my environment and determine whether this is
indeed a machine-level issue. My mail address is: jialge@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
