Version:
Visual Studio 2008
Behavior:
Clicking add items causes IDE to crash. Cannot debug the crash in another
instance of VIsual Studio.
Cause:
Appears some toolbox items do not install properly. NOTE: Only third party
piece on my computer is Genome, rest are release add ins from Microsoft.
Solution:
devenv /safemode
Then use Choose Items on toolbox and run through each of the tabs. Once you
accept any exceptions raised on loading controls, you can then open Visual
Studio normally and add items.
