Ah yes, sorry. I assumed C++ for some reason -- probably because I haven't
seen it failing in C#, and haven't used VB. IOW, the only problems I've
seen reported here are related to C++.

I'm not expert at C#, so the only thing I can suggest is to make sure the
code is legal -- does it compile successfully?
