Hi,
My problems started when I installed .net 3.5 sp1 & vs2008 sp1. Everything
was previously working fine without the service packs installed.
After installing sp1, visual studio would crash immedietly upon opening with
no error message for some of my projects.
Following advice online I uninstalled all of my vs plugins (including power
commands)
After this, I could now open my solutions, but still could not build them
all. vs would just crash silently with no error message.
So I decided to remove both service packs. No change, the problem still
existed.
So I uninstalled visual studio and reinstalled. No change.
So I unistalled visual studio again, and also uninstalled all versions of
the .net framework. Then reinstalled visual studio. Now I can succussfully
build my solutions, but any attempt to run any app with any wpf in int
causes this error:
---------------------------
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
---------------------------
Runtime Error!
Program: C:\Progr...
R6034
An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library
incorrectly.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.

OK
---------------------------
The error also occurs if any attempt is made to open an xaml file in the wpf
designer.
Does anybody have any suggesstions as to what is causing these problems?
.
