RE: VS2008 Templates disappeared

Thanks Steven, I did a repair of Vs2008 and It fixed the issue.
I then reexecuted the C:\Program Files\Microsoft ASP.NET\ASP.NET 2.0 AJAX
Extensions\AJAX Control ToolKit\AjaxControlExtender\AjaxControlExtender.vsi
to get my AJAX Controltoolkit Web Site Template back.

As for the Visual Studio 2008 website project template missing issue, as
you mentioned that it used to work, then I think it is likely that some
template files or visual studio settings has got corrupted. Here are
something you can try first:

** The project template files for "Web Site" projects are located in the
following folder:

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio
9.0\Common7\IDE\ProjectTemplates\Web\CSharp\1033

You can try navigate to it in file explorer to see whether all the files
are still there. By default the following templates should exist:

#Empty Web.zip
#ReportApplication.zip

#WebService.zip
#WebWCFService.zip


** Also, since the problem may be caused by some Visual Studio setting or
cache in user profile get corrupted, I suggest you try creating a new
account or logon through another account on the machine to see whether you
can get it work.

Subject: VS2008 Templates disappeared

When I want to create a Web Site using the Create...Web Site from the
start
page I get an empty dialog box displayed... No more templates, I mean
nothing, only a big white area nothing to choose from....

I was able before. I had the Ajax ControlToolKit Templates installed and
everything.

I installed the VS90-KB946581.exe but I can't tell if it is because of it.

Anybody ran into the same issue?
